Dallas County Jail Meal RFP

The Dallas County Jail will be accepting bids for food service to inmates in the Dallas County Jail. Bids will be for the preparing and delivery of food to inmates located at the Dallas County Jail. Prospective vendors must be currently registered with the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals, compliant with health inspections and compliant with all other applicable laws governing food service in Iowa. Prospective vendors must have a qualified nutritionist or dietitian that certifies the dietary requirements which must meet or exceed the nationally recommended minimum dietary allowances for basic nutrition for and appropriate age group. Meal schedules must be set in a six week schedule and delivered to the jail administrator prior to delivery. Vendors must comply with requirements set out in Chapter (356, 356A) 201-50.16 of the Code of Iowa.

Interested food vendors may submit a letter of interest by writing to the Dallas County Jail at 201 N. Nile Kinnick, Box 187 Adel, IA 50003 (Attention: Jail Administrator). Please include your company name, address, phone number, a brief description of your business and contact person with your letter of interest. Once your letter has been received a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be mailed.
