Henry Nelson - A Man Ahead of His time

Henry Nelson (1836-1908) lived in Dallas County, in Colfax Township, north of Redfield, and was a man of mystery! He was an inventor and craftsman. One of his inventions, the perpetual motion machine, is on display at Forest Park Museum. No one is sure what this machine was invented to do, though most think it was an electricity producing machine.

Come out to Forest Park Museum in Perry to hear about some of his inventions and some that were attributed to him. You will be surprised to hear some of the projects on which he is said to have been working. He was truly a man ahead of his time.
